1 or 2 playmats?

I am debating whether to take advantage of TinyLove's BOGO multiples discount, or use a BRU GC I have to buy just one. It seems like it would be nice to have two, but I'm not sure how much we would really use two and obviously it would be easier on the budget right now if I just used the GC rather than spending money on one. So just wondering if you all have found it helpful to have two playmats or not. (We also have a rainforest cradle swing and two different kinds of bouncy seats.) Also, what age did your babies start and stop using playmats?

Re: 1 or 2 playmats?

  • We have 2 but use one a lot.  The one we use a lot can fit both girls side by side so we use it a lot.  Usually now we use it as a break from the exersaucer/jumperoo if one gets a little fussy.  Sometimes I will have both out for the girls.  So, all in all and after a little rambling, I am glad we have 2 playmats.  I wish the one was different but I do use them both.  Sorry for the rambling.

  • We had one, and they both fit under it together for as long as they were both interested in it.
  • We just have one and they both fit under it fine. I have actually noticed they prefer to be one it together than alone.
  • We had two and it worked well for us.  For a while we did have them both on the same one, but as they got bigger and started to roll, they liked having their own playmats.  And we actually used them a lot longer than I thought we would - even once they started sitting up and crawling, they loved having them in the play area to pull on the hanging toys or as a place to rest.  They also liked flipping them over and rolling up in them - they found a million ways to play with them that I would never have thought of.
