if I scheduled a few moving companies to give me quotes on my house at the same time? I just don't have a lot of time to schedule different appointments with everyone, and a little competition between them all might make my bill lower. I used to do this at work but I think it was expected and I'm not sure it it's okay for this purpose.

If they are offended then they can not participate and leave your property. Its a free capitalist country - for now. If you are busy and you only have so much time, I would do it.

Definitely go for it. I did this with my roofing companies and I think I got better quotes because of it.

I think the companies are used to it and your not the only one to do so. My friend moved back in Oct and had them come on the same day.
