I think someone posted about this below but I didn't comment. I read in another article that she lives with her parents because she was on bed rest and her husband is a contractor in Iraq.
I hate to judge, but I also read that the ages of her kids were 7, 6, 5, 3, and 2 year old twins, so I really have to wonder about the scope of her infertility - were all of these kids conceived via ART? Also, I'm pretty uneducated about the subject, but it seems like doctors would be especially cautious about doing procedures that could result in high-number multiples knowing she has so many other young children - I also read that she's on the younger end herself. I wish nothing but the best for her and her other children, and especially those little babies, but something about this whole thing just doesn't sit well with me.
Well if nothing else, she could always have her own show on TLC and be a millionaire. I couldn't ever have that many children, but then again if I was ever faced with selective reduction I don't think I could select... how could you? I just don't know.

No matter how many or how few children someone has, I feel it's far more important how the parents raise the children. As long as they can provide for the children financially and emotionally, I don't care how many they have. More power to them. I just hope they're able. I will definitely judge if they start pimping out their kids a la Jon and Kate, though. (Although I will admit J&K+8 is an extremely entertaining train wreck.)
Everything about this story seems strange. I'm trying not to judge. I just hope the kids are taken care of and it isn't a drain on our government. I also hope the older children aren't forced to grow up too fast because they have to help take care of their younger siblings aka The Duggars.
There was a very interesting interview on some news show a few nights ago talking about the ethics behind fertility procedures. I thought there were valid points made about docs being more vigilant in protecting mothers from having 5,6,7,8 babies at once. I'm all for fertility assistance; but I have to say I agreed with this man....if everything he was saying was accurate. Eventually, the novelty's going to wear off and not every family of extreme multiples are going to be able to provide for their family from handouts from Oprah or reality TV. I wish this family nothing but the best, but I hope the medical world can figure out how best to help couples wanting to have children without having to go to the extremes! Just my opinion....certainly not meant to judge or offend anyone!
Holy crap, Kristen. That story sure puts a different spin on things. I just really hope all of those kids are able to have a somewhat stable and happy childhood.
Ugh, this makes me so mad. It seems to me that she was greedy. ?And, on top of it all is she a single mom, living with her parents with 6 other kids?! ?How awful, yet more?reason for me to hate people who use the system and use their bodies as pez machines. ?I think we know who will be paying for these children, tax payers. ?How sad.
