My big u/s is at 11 and have a dr. appt right after. The scale is not going to be nice to me today, I just know it. I ate pretty bad while on vacation a few weeks ago and have given in to my ice cream craving at night. Yikes. Should I just stop looking at the scale from now on? ha ha
Re: Dreading the scale today
Are you kidding? I never looked at the scale once at any of my OB visits and I told them not to tell me my weight. I just asked how much I gained until that got too depressing, too.
So have you guys decided what you're going to do as far as finding out the sex?
During my 1st pregnancy I was all organized and kept a little journal about all my appointments, how much weight I gained, even what my BP was, LOL.
I never once looked at the scale during my 2nd pregnancy! I also didn't ask them how much weight I gained. I have no idea how much I ended up gaining, although I suspect it was actually less than I gained during my 1st pregnancy.
Don't stress about it!
I always watch, but I always have to ask how much i gained b/c I can never remember how much I weighed the last time
This month I only gained 3, that is down from 9 last month!
I can't help but look it just amazes me, I'm like wow, never seen the scale go that high before!
You can always get on backwards!
I agree...that appointment right around the big U/S is usually the worst for weight gain. I've given up too! Just going straight back on Weight Watchers after I deliver.

Well we aren't going to find out. Sigh. I tried but he is sticking to being surprised at birth. Oh well.
I try not to stress about it, it just last time I exercised throughout all of my pregnancy and this time I haven't been as good. I actually hurt my knee around Christmas time. At least DH tells me I look great and that I am supposed to gain weight. I have to accept the fact that I am not one of the ones that only gains in my belly and loses all the weight a few weeks after the pregnancy. Sigh.
NO NO - DON'T ASK OR LOOK!! I did everytime & regretted it. I gained what I felt was a lot (slightly over 40 lbs) but I felt good, was exercising still and people told me I looked good, so I tried REALLY hard not to think about it.
At one of my appts I asked the nurse if I coule "opt out" of being weighed that week. She thought I was hilarious and said she'd never heard that one, but made me do it still. She did offer me the option of backwards. GL!
