Had u/s last night in L&D after more bright red spotting...

The on-call doctor told me to go right to L&D when I mentioned the red spotting. I got their and they just told me right away they would do the u/s. They said that baby A's placenta is still lying very low and that could be irritating the cervix causing the spotting.

The nurse told the tech that I didn't know for sure what we were having, and basically begged her to find out for me! Dh was fine with me finding out if I could (he was at home with DS and we were texting back and forth)

So the tech made sure to check. Baby B is for sure a boy! and Baby A she said is a girl! I asked her how confident she is, and she said she is really confident!

I am so excited, but of course I think I will need a few more u/s saying the same guesses to REALLY believe it :)

    The same thing happened to me at 17w but the OB resident said she didn't trust the portable machine and she wouldn't guess at the sex for us. Ugh. Glad you were able to find out and all is well. My placenta was somewhat low lying at that point, but has since shifted well out of the way.
