Ever since Brook shared her girls' story with us, I've felt compelled to learn more about SMA and try to find ways to help. I stumbled on this website about twin girls in Georgia who have SMA type 1. It's really a beautiful story - the girls live pretty normal lives, watching cartoons and going to Disney World with their parents. And, both lived past the age of nine, because, "They rallied each other... That is one reason why they did as well as they did. They had each other.''

Also, on the right side, you'll see a print that a commissioned artist created in honor of these twins... the print is orderable, with proceeds going to SMA research... what a wonderful gift that could be!
