Did underwire bras make your boobs hurt more?

I feel like the extra support helps, but damn they hurt, especially on the sides by the wire.  I don't remember the soreness being this bad last time.  Is it time to move to sports bras?

    Yep.  If I'm at home, I'm in a sports bra.  Wayyyy more comfy.

    I save the underwires for when I'm out of the house and I want to look like I actually possess more than one boob.

    When it looks like I'm 38 weeks pregnant just in the BB's, we have an issue.  I own these puppies, and they even scare me.

    oh yes! ?i had to buy bras w/o underwires after awhile with my first and they were soooo comfy! ?sports bras are comfy, but i just hate how they smoosh my boobs down.

    My VS underwired bras didn't hurt at all, I mean my boobs were killing me but the bras offered nothing but good support. I guess it depends on the bra.

    Yup my uw bras were killing me.  I'm not using sports bras - just normal bras without an uw.  It's so much more comfortable.

    I don't mind the underwire in the front but on the sides it does irritate me. I've opted for no-wire bras for the days where the girls hurt... its not everyday tho, so I'm lucky.

    I always wear underwires, but then when I had to buy some bigger bras (got them at Motherhood maternity) the one underwire I got wound up being VERY uncomfortable. I'm afraid it will be uniboob for me for a while.
