I was just wondering after coming off the pill how long it for you to have a visit from AF? Also how long it took you to get a BFP after stopping the pill? Just curious because I have read TCOYF & I haven't had a visit from AF since coming off. I know it takes time but was just curious what some of you experienced. TIA

I was pregnant before AF started up on its own. I m/c'd that pregnancy, and didn't go back on it afterwards. We were pregnant 4 months after the m/c was complete. Maybe it's time to POAS???

My first AF actually came pretty much on schedule after stopping the pill. I was charting (to avoid a BFP) for about 3 months. 2 months after actively trying to get pg, I got my BFP.

That was all with the first pregnancy. The second one is a whole different story.

My AF did not arrive til like 8-10weeks after getting off the pill. Then it was so sporadic, sometimes 5 weeks other times 10 or 12 weeks. It was crazy. I was on Metformin while charting and it took us 8 months to get pregnnat with DS. Now the 2nd is a whole different story....we stopped using protection after AF visited and low and behold I am already pregnant

AF arrived almost exactly about 4 weeks after I went off the pill - I was pregnant the very next month.

My first cycle off the pill was something like 52 days long and we got pregnant on my 2nd cycle...I tested on cycle day 49 and got a very faint BFP.

AF came right on schedule as soon as going off the pill. I didn't "try" to get pg for about a year, and then it happened on our first "try."

I was very irregular before I got on the pill. Once I stopped, my cycles were fairly regular right away except for one weird one first. It took 4 cycles for our BFP, but I had been off the pill for about 5 months before that.

Maybe POAS? Just to cover all bases?

I went off and got a period a little over a month later. I got pregnant the month after that. If you haven't started your AF in a while, the doctor can give you something to make it start.

I've never been pregnant, but after I stopped the pill I got my period that next month and every month after. I guess it just varies by each woman.

Thanks ladies!! I am going to call the doctor this morning. I am going on 100 days without a visit from AF. I did POAS but it was negative Sad

I went off the pill last June and was regular almost immediately. I got my BFP in December but that was the first month we timed the BDing with my ovulation days. I highly recommend fertility friend.com (or a similar website). I started taking my temps daily and marking them off and after a few months you'll see a clear pattern of when you ovluate and when you have your period. Well hopefully you'll see a pattern. I am TTC right now also. I went of the pill and had two normal periods. Then I went 5 months with no period at all. I'm finally starting to get it back, but with pretty long cycles. I'd call your doc and see what they say. I went to my doc after my 5 month no-period situation, and she gave me some medicine that she thought might help me to become more regular with my periods.
