NKY daycares

Hey ladies, I may be looking to put DS and new baby in a daycare and wanted to know of any pros or cons of daycares in NKY.  I will be looking at places up and down 71/75 and 275 but not Alexandria, Ft. Thomas, Newport area.  Any info would be great.  I know of some big chains like Little Red, Goddard, and Kids R Kids.  Looking for possible smaller ones and any info you have would be great!  TIA!!

    where do you live/work? We're using toddler town mainly bc it;s close for us, very reasonable price and it's owned by a close family friend.  But it may not be convenient for you.  It's abt 8 min off 275 indep/cov (rt17) exit.  page me if you want more info.

    ava is (very occasionally) a drop in there so i'm not sure what their full-time pricing is like.  if i remember correctly it is slightly higher than goddard, abby's, etc. but not by much - maybe like $10 more per week, which i feel is well worth it considering that they have webcam, provide all meals/snacks and that the facility is brand new within the past year and a half (although the company itself has been in business for quite some time).  the staff is very nice as well, which obviously is one of the most important factors.  i also like that they are not a huge chain like little red.  it's off the florence/union exit of 75, and located right near the union kroger, erpenbeck elementary, etc. if you are familiar with that area at all.

    I live in Ft. Mitchell but work in Cambell, Kenton, and Boone county and travel.  Right now I go to the boonies of Independence for my sitter now so I am willing to go anywhere really as long as the care is right and the price :-)

    Ooh, you're in Ft. Mitchell, you could also check out Redwood, they offer care for kids beyond those with special needs.

    I have a call into redwood already.  I actually do therapy there for some kids so we will see if I can get the baby and aleck on their waiting list.  It is pretty hard to get in.
