Anyone taken Gonal F?

Good afternoon ladies! ? ? ?So I was unsuccessful again this month in ttc #2. ? ?I have been on 100mg of clomid, trigger and progest. ? ? Well, I called the Dr. and we are going to do 1 more cycle of clomid this month and then onto the Gonal F. ?

??Can you tell me any side effects that you experienced on it? ? ?Were they different then clomid? ? ? How long were you on it & was it a success? ? ? Finally, did this medication result in multiples?

I get really freaked out when it comes to needles, etc. ? ? I know this is what I have to do and I am okay with that! ? ?I just like to get feedback from people with experience before just diving into it.

    Gonal F worked for me the first try (8th IUI). Femara+Gonal F+Trigger=Twins!  I had 8 mature follicles.

    I had to get DH to give me the shots....I couldn't do it myself...It wasn't too bad. I didn't find there were any additional symptoms asside from what I was already experiencing from drugs etc. I think I was on the lowest dose too...I did three shots total.

    i failed 4 clomid cycles and HATED the hot flashes. ?my 1st IUI with gonal-f and ovidrel trigger worked! ?the gonal-f gave me NO side effects whatsoever. ?it was so much easier to tolerate than the clomid. ?the first needle is really hard, but after that, it's no big deal. ?keep us posted and good luck.

    I was on Gonal-F for 3 cycles, after being on Clomid for 7!  I liked Gonal-F better.  I didn't have any real side effects.  I didn't have the hot flashes or dry-mouth like I did with Clomid.  The only "side" effect was, that 2 of the cycles my abdomen bruised from the injections.  I probably just bruise easily, because the inside elbow would bruise from all the b/w.  This was also during summer and it never was an issue, it was not like anyone was seeing my belly.  Luckily I had no need to be in a bathing suit.

    I will tell you, even though I did bruise, after getting over that first time I had to give myself an injection, it got SO much easier.  I was so freaked out that first time, because I HATE needles!  It really didn't hurt!  The needle is very thin and after you do it once or twice, you are a pro.  Even with the bruising I developed, it really didn't hurt!

    I did get pregnant with twins, although the cycle I got pg, I used a combo of Clomid days 3-7 & Gonal-F days 8-14.

    Thank you so much for all your feeback. ? ? I am preparing myself for the shots, and will probably wimp out and have DH give them to me. ? ?I will also know in the back of my mind that multiples are possible! ? ? Thanks again and I will keep you posted.

    For me clomid was horrible but Gonal -f was great- no side affects. Also, out of all the shots I took, the Gonal-f needle was my favorite. ?Hardly felt it!
