So, I have had the temp rise, slight breast pain, and ovulation pains I normally get, but all my OPK's have been super negative. I take them in the afternoon, try not to drink a lot the few hours previous. Is there any reasons anyone knows of that they would be negative when I would actually be ovulating? Thanks!
I have just started ttc a few months ago, and I don't have regular periods. (they are between 28 and 32 days, however.)
Re: Is it possible to ovulate w/o a positive opk?
Yes, you can still O.
I never got ++'s later in the afternoon so I tried them around noon and I started getting ++'s.
Thank you so much! I'm fairly new to this, so all your help is greatly appreciated.
Is it possible that they would work one month and not the next? They worked fine for me the first two months.
Yep, totally normal. Sometimes you just miss the surge.
I used to take them once a day (around 5 PM) and had a hard time getting a positive. As soon as I switched to twice a day (once around 11 AM, again at around 5 PM), I got more positives. I find I get more positives in the morning than the afternoon.
It could just be your timing. You might want to try doing them twice a day if you are having a hard time catching the surge.
GL!
