I know, I don't know why I am stressing over this but I am. We have an infant now and I have a 20 month old. Where should I put them in our SUV? Would it be best to have the infant behind me and toddler behind passanger? I'm assuming it doesn't matter but just curious if YOU think one is more convientant than the other?
Re: infant and toddler carseat positions
We only have one, but I have always thought that I would put the infant on the passenger side and DD behind me, no reason why, I'm curious to see what others say.
Congrats on your new little one
I just have DD, so she's still in the center, but when we do have another I was planning to put the infant seat behind the passenger seat and DD behind me, since the carrier is going to take up slightly more space and I don't know how comfortable I'd be sitting any closer to the steering wheel than I already do.

Don't feel like you're choosing - this is exactly what car seat techs would recommend because in the event of an accident, the younger child is the one needing more protection. (geez, it still doesn't sound any better that way, but you know what I mean!)
