Multiples Registry Question

have anyone of you ladies (I'm sure someone has) registered at BRU?

 

did you receive a multiples discount on TOP of the 10% off of what was left on the registry? (I heard they had a multiples discount but have yet to confirm it)

 

I only ask because I know they are going to get expensive fast! (babies that is)  and we are also in the process of trying to move

    there is a discount when you buy two of the same or substantially similar big ticket items (over $50). ?I forget what the actual percentage is though.

     Really, maybe I should buy my big things from there.  I didn't even know that they offered discounts on multiples.  Thanks!!

    Yep! The only things expensive enough were our Graco Snugrides, but I got the 10% multiples discount plus the 10% off registry completion coupon PLUS I had a 15% off and 20% off coupon and they let me use one on each carseat (I had another 20% off coupon but you can't use two of the same kind of coupon in one order) so I got our $99.99 carseats for something like $63 and $68! I love BRU. :) (I just wish more people would shop there instead of Target! ;) Only 3 people bought things from our BRU registry--and a few dozen at Target--but the coupons and discount sure helped w/what we needed to buy after the showers!)

    From what I can tell it totally depends on who checks you out. Some people say they have trouble getting even the 10% multiples discount (they wouldn't give it to me on our cribs because they are online only and the guy claims BRU and BRU.com are different entities - which is funny since the registry appears on both. He told us we had to pay to have the cribs shipped to our house and couldn't get any discount. We took our furniture business elsewhere) When we bought some other items there (mattresses) the woman gave us 10% off BOTH (sweet). Some people seem to be able to 'stack' coupons, others won't allow it. I think it's a crap shoot, but it's worth a shot.

    That is great that they let some of you double up the coupons.  I have never had that kind of luck with them.  However, I did get the 10% multiples discount on the double stroller I bought.  The girl at the desk had no idea so always ask for a manager.  I have had so many employees there tell me different things it is crazy!

    At BRU, it's not really a discount for having multiples - it's a 10% discount for purchasing 2 of the exact same item (individual cost of $50 or more.)

    When we purchased our car seats, I took whatever boxes were on the shelf - not caring about the color or fabric of the seat covers.  The salesperson ringing us up made a big deal that the products were exactly the same - I think they look at inventory #.
