Somehow MIL got a hold on my very private birth pictures. They are only intended for DH and I. Apparently today she got her paws on the one and only album that was off limits and when I walked in the door she asked me, very boldly, "whats the benefit to shaving all your hair off?" and I had no idea what the hell she was talking about...till i saw the album sitting in front of her. She always says the msot horrific things to me and its usually in front of people she shouldnt. Like asking me why my nipples werent "big enough" to breast feed? She makes the most private things her business somehow.

so instead, i grabbed my handmirror i use when i do hair at home, handed it to her, and said "here. go home, shave yours off, and get acquainted." DH was horrified. I dont even care anymore. She needs to get to know hers before she can attempt to talk about mine.

She was looking through the pictures!!! First of all, she should not be going through your things. Second of all, as soon as she realized what was in that album she should have closed it. Third of all, I cannot believe she would make a comment to you like that. And fourth of all, you rock for what you said. I wish I could say stuff like that to the nutcase that is my MIL!

Yep she was going through stuff in my upstairs office "looking for something". I told DH that he owed ME an apology for even being embarrassed that I stood up to his bully of a mother, and also for not defending me. She hates me, but I could care less. She's just pissed I dont take her crap. She tried to run my wedding, but once I realized how she was, I've never taken her seriously since.

DH was married once before, to a woman whom MIL is especially fond of. He divorced her for a very good reason. I am the complete opposite of her, so MIL finds her stabs whenever she can. So I just do everything I can to keep her out of my life, but can only do so much when its DH's mother. She pipes up again, and I'll get out the clippers the next round...

I would have done the same think by handing her the mirror and telling her to get acquainted with it herself. Plus I would have taken the book and hit her up side the head hoping she would get knocked out then drag her outside and leave her there.

My DH's mom past away many years before we met and I feel for him for not having her around in his life but when I hear all these crazy MIL stories, I feel as though it was a blessing in disguise.
