I was reading a thread on 0-6 board about what DCs wear to daycare, and a lot of people dress them up in like dresses and stuff (well, maybe just 1 person) but the rest do actual outfits like pants and socks and stuff. I just take my girls in PJs with footies.... Am I underdressing them? The older kids wear pants and shirts obviously, but when your kids were little, what did you dress them in? And if they were PJs, when did you stop putting them in PJs? TIA!
Re: Am I underdressing them?
Most days my girls are in footed sleep and plays. I get mine at Carters usually, I have found a lot of them new with tags really cheap on Ebay. It is cold here in Northern VA and the footed sleep and plays keep them really warm. I don't have to worry about them being cold ever. Also it makes it really easy on me in the morning getting them dressed. In sleep in plays they go in and zip them up or button them up and they are good to go. Some days I do outfits if I am up early and have the time, but at the most one or 2 days a week. I will have to start putting them in more outfits this spring because they are back to both being in the same size so the larger twins wardrobe just got cut in half. I have enough sleep and plays for both for a week, but I also have to pack 2 extra for each girl in their daycare bag in case of diaper blow outs, so I need 7 sleep and plays for each girl for the 5 days at daycare. I only do my laundry one day a week on Saturday, so I have to have enough to make it through the week.
Honestly I am sure you daycare probably prefers the sleep and plays, they are much easier to maintain the baby during the day, especially not having to deal with socks falling off all day, or a shoe coming off and not being able to find it.
I am sure these people on the 0-6 months board are only dealing with a singleton and have no idea what our daily lives are like, we have to use whatever resource we can to save time, money and energy. Of course this is just my opinion.
