I went shopping today with DD. We were in the mall and I was taking her in and out of the seat a lot. After shopping we went straight home. I went to get her out of the carrier and I had never strapped her back in! I am so thankful I didn't get in a car accident. I can not believe I did that. I get worst mommy of the year

Sigh...I'm guilty of this as well, sad to say. I put DD in her carseat while I'm gathering our stuff to head out the door, and one time last week I put her in there and then straight into the car without noticing that her straps were undone (she had a blanket in her lap). Got to our destination and I FREAKED when I saw the buckles undone. Gaaaahhhhh.

I did this once over the summer. Ds was strapped in his carseat, but I was using the carrier without the base and didn't thread the seatbelt through the slots. I was pretty upset when I got home and realized what happened. Dh was too!

One of the reasons I was glad to make the switch to the convertible. This happened to Joseph three times - once each with me, my husband and my mother. So easy to do when you're snapping the whole seat into the base, but almost impossible when placing squirming baby into the seat.
