Breastfeeding and trying for #2...Have u got lucky??

For those of you who want to have another baby while still breastfeeding #1 I am wondering if you have had to go to see MD because you are still trying...( i know breastfeeding is not a 100% form of contraception but in some women it works pretty well) I am just curious because I am trying and BF. With dd it was only first try but i knew when i was ovulating.

Any inputs??

Have you started you period? We are thinking of trying when DS is one but I will hopefully still be breastfeeding. I have yet to start my period. We'll see....

No, i have not started my period yet. I bf and supplement if i need to when my supply is low during the day (2 oz/feeding) and at nights always after nursing regardless if i feel she is full or not because ever since i started offering the bottle she has been STTN. If she is really full she will take few oz but if she is not she will drink 5-6 oz, so i always have a 6 oz bottle ready at night and has worked beautifully....she does not wake up to nurse anymore!

I am still BF and was able to get pg. My period returned at 7 months though.

Good luck to you! My DH and I would be happy for #2, and I just got my first period pp yesterday! It didn't take me long with DS, just 2 cycles, and I wasn't tracking my ovulation or anything. Hopefully we'll all be on the tri boards again soon! ;-)
