Where to get pertussis culture?

A friend just got back from Mexico and her baby is showing some signs of pertussis (YES, he is vax'ed). Their pedi said they would need to get a culture done but they would have to go to Dell Children's because it isn't done by the Dr's offices.

Well, Dell Children's told them it would be an all day wait and the chances of him actually getting the culture were pretty slim because he wasn't sick enough yet. 

So, does anybody know if any of the other area hospitals offer the pertussis culture or is Dell the only one?
