anyone have dyson slim??

wondering if dyson slim is enough for a main vacuum or if its just for inbetween vacuuming? also is it enough for dog and cat hair??

 Macy's is clearancing it from reg $520 to only $269.99

I have the Dyson Slim. It's our only vacuum and we have a dog and had a cat as well until very recently. It's done a great job by my standards!
