Has anyone donated breastmilk?

I have about 100oz in my freezer that I won't give to my DD since I discovered she is dairy intolerant.

I have friends that do donate, but because of the testing they have to go through, that might not be enough, unless you want to keep pumping to donate more.  My friends that do it pump specifically for that and donate a lot.  It is worth a call you your local bank.

Definitely look into donating. ?Google Mother's Milk Bank to see if there is one in your area. ?I donated about 100 oz. of my BM that Kyle never drank (he hated the bottle!) to the our local bank. ?I work in a NICU and we use banked BM for our little preemies when their own mother cannot provide milk. ?It is a very valued resource, please don't throw it away, if possible

The thought of throwing it away makes me sick, so that is why I am looking into donating it.  I can't believe that there aren't any local milk banks around here (NYC area). The closest one is in MA.  I am going to call my LC on Monday, maybe she can help.
