Yes, lots of questions tonight, sorry!
We'd like to take the crib down and have had a toddler bed set up for months. He shows no interest in it. Never even tried to get out of the crib.
He says he's going to sleep in the big boy bed often but when bedtime rolls around, he points to the crib and says "that one". He's 2 1/2.
Problem is we bought the train table he's been begging for christmas and we need the wall the crib is on to put it up. His play room is full.
Am I in for a rough road to try to transition him? Is he too young? Should I just do it cold turkey, and take the darn crib down or will that first night be a nightmare?
Thanks!
Re: When to do away with the crib?
Oh i LOVe when they're in the crib....
I would show him the box for Christmas and just tell him when he's ready to sleep in his big boy bed, then you'll set up the train table.
That way HE will truly be deciding and it will make the transition easier. Or maybe... :P
