Am I crazy for flying with our Mountain Buggy double?

We're flying tomorrow and definetly want both kids in a stroller. 

 We have the Graco Quattro Duo that we could use but I can't push it one handed, thus wouldn't be able to pull the luggage etc, while DH goes to get the rental car etc.  So we thought we'd use the MB and I could pull luggage and manage to get the kids/luggage etc outside to meet him to save time.  I've never (knock on wood) had any of our strollers/carseats damaged or broken and we've flown a lot.

But now I'm getting nervous that something  will happen to it but yet, I hate my Graco, the thing drives like a tank!!  WWYD??

We've brought ours with us twice to Disney.  No issues.

Do you have a travel bag for it??  We don't.  We do have these huge plastic bags that we could use.  But with two kids/carseat/ carry-ons, my DH thinks I'm nuts for even suggesting it!  I just dont' want my MB to get jacked up!!

Just gate check it, it will be fine.  I have a single Mountain buggy and LOVE it.  I am getting a P&T, since I really just need a shopping stroller, since I already have a double chariot for walking around my hood, but I love the double.  I have flown with the single with no problems.  I just bungee it.

I don't have a bag for it --- we gate check it.  Wheel to the end of the tunnel, fold it up, lock it and they put it underneath and then bring it back out for you when the flight is over.

Yeah, we'll gate check it and we've got this strap thing to keep it together.  I guess I'm just picturing them dropping it all over the ground, scratching it all up and then something happening to the fabric or whatever when it's stored.

I'm just neurotic about keeping all our stuff in perfect condition.  Someone will be a lucky soul to get our hand me downs!! 

I really liked the P&T's too but I always hang my diaper bag on the handle and you can't really do that on the P&Ts!  I know you are a stroller whore like me!  I feel like I should be a stroller sales person!
