I have no advice, but I wanted to say that whatever you decide to do, whatever route you take, your kids will be lucky to have a mom who is worried about her own happiness and her relationship w/ their father.

As a child of divorce, I can say there is no better gift that my mom gave me than showing me what a healthy relationship is with her second marriage.

I think you can do that for Joey and Cam whether you work it out with Joe and become a stronger couple or if your future is with someone else.

 I also live with someone who is extremely negative.. there is always something wrong...or something is not good enough.

You may need to take some time away. Would it be possible to leave him and the kids for a week or so to clear your head and kind of get things in perspective?

I know you would never leave your kids but it sounds like you need a break.

I'm just tired.  That's all.  Tired.  Tired of trying.  Tired of worrying about Joe and his mood.  Tired of worrying about the kids.  Tired of being a responsible adult.  Tired.

I have girls weekend coming up next weekend so that will be 2.5 days away from kids and Joe.  But honestly, this same time last year --- I was thinking the same thing (it will be good to get away from Joe for a couple of days).  I remember thinking that.  And here we are again, a year later, same position.  TIRED!

That makes sense - it's certainly no way to live, and I would not suggest you continue like that! 

I think whatever you do, you need to either make things better for you or move on.  I hope that whatever happens it's awesome in the end for you - whoever you are with or without.
