Re: recommend your double stroller?

  • How much do you want to spend?  That alone will give you extremely different choices.  :-)

I LOVE ours - a Combi Twin Saavy.  It's just 21 lbs, very light, side to side but because it's not "long" like the front/back, I can literally open a door and get the stroller through.  Or, I just "back into" doors.  We got it around this time of year, maybe January, on clearance for $119 at BRU (From $200) because they always have a new model for the new year.

It also fits in my small car (which is not true of many others.)

But if you have craplods of money $400-$700+ you can get some wicked cool double strollers.

  • Yeah you first have to decide front and back or side-to-side.  I didn't want the kicking of front/back, and my kids are tall and there isn't much room in those.

But if you want front/back the Graco ...crap blanking on the name.  Duo glider?  is SUPER POPULAR and in your price range.

I like going to BRU and testing out what they have but i suppose there are lots that you get online-only and can't test drive.

  • I have the Baby Trend sit and stand deluxe with 2 seats that turn into a bench later/ I love it, it's not too heavy and works well with 2 small children. I have found that most double strollers are designed for kids 3years apart or for twins. We didn't fall in either category plus I didn't want to spend alot since we bought all our single strollers last year(jogger, travel system, and umbrella) I think it was $169 at Target and online.
  • i think I'm going to get the Baby Jogger City Mini double stroller. Its $400 at babies r us but if you can get a 20% off coupon thats $80off.

I test drove it and its extemely lightweight(i think around 25lbs), super easy to push. You can easily push it with one hand. It is a side by side, has really nice canopies and both sides drop down to laying postion. Oh and its very easy to fold....just lift a strap and it folds in half.  It doesn't hold a baby car seat so I am giving that up but otherwise it seems like a great stroller.
