Vent: Stupid customer service

Everywhere I've gone today, I've had sucky customer service!  I went to NY&C to return something and to use a $15 credit I got in the mail that was good for today only.  They wouldn't let me return a pair of yoga pants I bought and buy another pair of them to use the credit (who cares what I buy with the credit!), and then when I found a shirt for $14.95, they wouldn't let me use the credit on it either because it wasn't technically $15, and then on top of that it was on sale apparently, and they wouldn't let me use it on sale items.  Again, WHO CARES what I use it on??  $15 is $15... who the heck cares if I use it on yoga pants or dress shirts or a pair of earrings, for crying out loud!  DD was with me, so I didn't have time to argue with them, so I gave the coupon to some random customer, who was very appreciative... at least I made her day!  Wink

Then on to Target, land of beautiful items and crappy service.  DD needed diapers, and they had the small packs of Pampers on sale for $9.99, and when you bought 3 packs, you got a $5 gift card.  The ENTIRE shelf of size 4 was completely wiped out!  I even had an associate check the stock in the back to see if there were any more, and they were totally out.  So she told me to go to the service desk, explain that they were out, and they'd give me a rain check.  When I got up there, they wouldn't give me a rain check, b/c they apparently won't do that when there's $5 gift cards involved as part of the deal... um, why not??  So we were just totally out of luck with that, too.

The Verizon bill came in the mail today, so I open it up to find a $1.49 charge on DH's phone for a 411 call that he never made.  I called Verizon to have them take that off the bill, explained that DH accidentally hit the button to call 411 and then hung up before it connected (thus, not using the service at all).  They pretty much told me "too bad" and that they wouldn't remove the charge b/c they can't "prove" that we didn't use the service.  I asked if there was a number to call the 411 company and discuss it with them, and she said nope, so I said that was a pretty good scheme they've got going on there and hung up!

ARGH!!  I am so irritated with PEOPLE today!!

Re: Vent: Stupid customer service

  • NY & Co. has terrible, terrible customer service.  I bought two pairs of pants one time, same pants, same size, 2 different colors.  I only tried on one pair and assumed the other pair would fit.  I got home and tried on the other pair and they were entirely too small.  So I took them back and found another pair that fit.  Same pants, different size.  When I tried to exchange them, they tried to tell me I owed them $3 and something, because when I bought the pants, I used one of their 20% off coupons, so they were making me pay that 20% back.  I went round and round with them for at least 15 mins about how I was making an even exchange, and the only way they even knew I had used the coupon was because I had my receipt.  They just did not get it.  So I put the pants back and left the store.  I came back like 5 mins later, took the same pair of pants back up to the counter (different register), and told them I didn't have my receipt.  She exchanged the pants with no problem, even.  Dumb ass people.

  • Ugggh, that totally sucks. I really wonder why I still go to Target at all anymore. That damn place still sucks me in but I really shouldn't give them my money b/c their service is the WORST. I returned something not long ago with a reciept and they wouldn't let me do it b/c my receipt expired. Really? My receipt expired? Does my money expire too? I had misplaced the reciept, knew I would eventually find it and finally did a few months later only to find out I couldn't do it. Then she has the balls to tell me if I wouldn't have shown her the receipt they could've given me 35 dollars for it in store credit (it was a 40 dollar item) b/c that was their limit. But since she saw I had the receipt she wouldn't do it. I just went to a different target without the receipt and did it there but honestly...ridiculous!
