Oprahs Favorite things - SUCKS!!!

i was soo excited to see this episode because they pitched it as having inexpensive items this year. Yeah will they haven't featured one item. Shes been taking about homemade ideas like writing letters or memory boxes. And the whole second have of the show is a cooking segment. I would be so let down if i was in the audience and found out I was in the favorite things show and to then be talking about homemade gifts...

errr. I just had to get that out..  Sad

    I didn't think this was the actual fave things ep, was it? My DVR listing says it an "inexpensive holiday" ep with a cooking segment. It didn't sound like her actual episode where she gives stuff away. It doesn't air here for another hour.

    I think that she'll have another episode where she gives all that stuff away.  I turned it on today too and was dissapointed.  I don't even like Oprah but I love watching the Favorite Things episode.

    schnappy - That was the "favorite things" for this year. Oprah said that in light of the economic situation she didn't feel it was appropriate to recommend and give away pricey gifts.

    Haha!  Wouldn't it be funny if everyone screamed like crazy like they always do on that episode and then imagine the looks on their faces as they realize that they're learning about free stuff.  I bet its a different episode than favorite things, as pp mentioned.

    Oh, bummer. I don't watch her that regularly and had no idea. That makes sense I guess, but I won't worry if I miss it. ?

    I'd be pisssed if I was in the audience. I would kick her in the leg on my way out the door! It is not like Oprah's financial situation is bleak, perhaps she could have gotten economically challenged people in the audience and make their christmas.

    I just watched it... very disappointing. ?I thought they were going to show us inexpensive gifts too. ? I mean, all the ideas were great and all but I didn't find them to be terribly creative. ?

    And WTF was with the cooking segment? I nearly gagged when she put mustard and wine all over that turkey. ?Ick!!!?
