i fell carrying ds!

we're okay, but i'm pretty shook up. the walkway in front of our apt. offices is sort of cobblestoney and my shoe caught in one of the cracks and down we went. thank god ds was in his carrier, he cried a little but was totally fine! i banged up my right knee pretty badly and scraped my elbow, but am otherwise fine. it was a little freaky but i'm just so thankful it wasn't worse!

  • I'm so glad you're both OK and that he was in his carrier.

That's one of my biggest fears - I'm a total klutz and I'm always tripping, twisting my ankle, slipping, etc. And now that we are starting to encounter ice and I'm carrying him, it's so scary! I thought that I just had to get through the pregnancy without falling, I wasn't thinking of THIS winter!

  • I"m glad you guys are both okay..well at least for the most part.
  • Ugh how scary! I'm always afraid I'm going to fall down the steps outside (10 of them) with her... you poor thing, I'm glad you're both alright.
  • poor mommy!  that would be scary.  glad to hear you guys are ok!
  • That's so scary!! I'm so glad you're both ok.

I fell down 1/2 a flight of stairs while carrying DD when she was about 2.5 weeks old. Thankfully she was just fine but I was pretty bruised up. It's scary! Every single time I go down the stairs with her (which is a lot) I'm scared of falling.

  • This is my worst fear! Especially carrying him in my arms, I am so paranoid I will trip. I am glad you are both ok!
  • Oh my goodness, how scary!  I'm glad you're both ok!  I fell down the stairs this week, but was NOT holding DD at the time, thank goodness!  I am still soooo sore, and I think I bruised my tailbone.  Definitely take some Tylenol or something and get some ice on your knee!
