When did your DC start sitting up with no help?

DD has been sitting since she was around 5 months old, but still can't go from her back to sitting up. She can back into a sitting position from a crawling one though.

DS started doing it Sunday. He is six months old.

We're not there yet, he'll sit in his bumbo, or sit holding our hands but he doesn't want to hold himself up quite yet.

We're almost there but DS was not into sitting for a while. He'd arch his back and try to stand when we sat him up.

DS has been sitting unassisted since he was 4.5 months old.  He can't get into a sitting position on his own yet though.

Our Daughter started sitting up around 5 months.  By 6 months was able to get from laying down to sitting up on her own.

DD just started to and she's 9 months.

6 months he was a pro at it, he's just starting to get the idea of getting to a seated position from laying down.  He's just gotten good at going from seated to the army crawl on purpose.

Not quite there yet...he can sit for a bit then forgets he actually has to hold himself up and falls over.
