Babies: 9 - 12 Months

If you used to pat your baby back to sleep...

does your baby now sort of pat herself back to sleep?

Charlotte used to have to get a pretty firm butt pat that would bounce the crib mattress in order to go back to sleep. Now, she does this thing where she bashes her head and legs into the mattress, which makes it bounce, and puts herself back to sleep. I think she is trying to replicate the butt pat! It's sooo funny to watch on the monitor.

  • That's hilarious! I know that Katie slams her legs in the crib when she is trying to get herself to sleep. It is really funny to watch.

  • I don't have a monitor, so I am not sure what my son does in his crib.  But he does make a loud noise, which I think is him kicking his legs on the mattress.  I have no idea why he does it.
