XP re webcams???

My mom wants one for Christmas so she can "see" Jenna more often.  While I'm not a computer moron, I'm not webcam savvy either.  Anyone have any advice?  I found one on a great sale on Amazon that gets good reviews on cnet too -

hmmm...I'm not very webcam savvy either, but I have heard they are pretty easy to set up. I think it's a great idea!

We had one when we lived in Charlotte so our family could see Ava. I really don't remember much about it.  Now we have one built in our computer, but we don't use it much anymore.  Sorry I'm not much help.
