Called Pedi about the formula thing

They contacted their Enfamil rep who had a statement from the head of the FDA.  All amounts that have been found are zero to very small traces that will cause no harm to infants.  My pedi's office is going over every ingredient with a fine tooth comb and so far have not found anything harmful.  They think the trace amounts are linked to packaging which is why some tests are coming up zero and some are showing small amounts in the same brand.  They basically said that there are no reports right now that would warrant any panic but they are going to keep an eye on it and they are in the same position as we are, they have to trust the information they are given.   They said they would contact me with further info.  I know I'm still worried but I guess we just have to do the best we can.  HTH

  • I heard about it on the radio this morning and read the host blog (https://valentineshow.blogspot.com ). It's very frightening when i heard it. I EBF my DS, but there were times when i have to supplement and with this happens, it makes me worry. Hopefully this will get clear up soon.
