Ok, I talked to my mom last night about this.  I said I find it hard to believe that her family is letting her come.  It's for the whole weekend, an hour and a half away from home with her BF and his family. 

Get this!  My Grandma hasn't even SPOKEN to her family yet!  She just invited the GF.  So no one really knows if she's coming or not.

LOL then I really wouldn't get a specific gift for her. Maybe a small "girl gift" as a just in case if you are worried about it. However, I know my mom wouldn't have let me stay the entire weekend away with my BF at that age.

I would go with your original plan then and not get anything for the GF. It may sound mean, but it is not your obligation, especially if you don;t even know if she is going o be allowed to come...
