OMG! Anyone else have a neat freak child?!

My DS REFUSES to paint! We went to 2 bday parties recently where they painted and he freaked out and refused. Just now I made turkeys with his hand in paint and LITERALLY had to force his hand down with all my strength into the paint and then onto the paper. Now he refuses to do anything else besides get in the shower!! WTH?! LMAO

DS wouldn't smash the cake at his first birthday because it was too messy.  He finally stuck his hands in, but he never actually tasted the cake because that would have been way too messy!  The first few times we finger painted, he wouldn't do it either, but now he's a pro and he gets it all over the place (including his mouth!).  So just wait...you will wish you had the neat freak back.

PAC?s weird about that, too. Sometimes he doesn?t mind a mess, but most of the time he doesn?t like it. I gave him a piece of mango, for instance, and he ate it, but then he walked over to our bichon and wiped his slimy hand on him. Yah.

Yes, I remember quite a few little kids who did NOT like to get dirty when I worked in daycare. The only suggestion is for them to see you getting dirty and enjoying it- then how EASY it is to get clean again. Give it some time. --oh and it is not a bad thing! You'll be saving on stain remover.
