changing station ???'s

What do you have at your changing station?  I'm not sure what I should have out and what I should have in the drawers below or the shelves above.  And what about diapers?  Do you just keep a big stack of diapers on the changing table?

Re: changing station ???'s

  • We have a basket of diapers right next to the dresser.  On the dresser, we have wipes, butt paste, poop log/pen, nasal drops, & washcloth to cover the boy parts!

I keep aquaphor (sp?), lotion, etc. in the top dresser drawer.

  • Our station doesn't have drawers but we have baskets underneath...

We have the diapers in a basket underneath and we also have fresh changing pad covers and changes of clothes for the babies (in case of a blowout or if they pee while getting changed)

On top of the changing table we have the wipes and diaper rash cream.

You definitely want everything that you might need to be in one arm's reach of the table top because you need to keep a hand on them at all times (they get wiggly fast!)

  • i have one of those diaper station things that hangs off the side of the changing table- very handy- place for diapers, lotions, wipes, etc.... all right there in your reach.

    We have:

    • diapers
    • wipes
    • powder (make sure not in baby's reach- is dangerous if they breathe it in)
    • butt pastes (a few different kinds)
    • neosporin (for his penis sometimes)
    • q-tips (handy to have aorund to clean his ears)
    • those paper changing pads- helpful for those blowout type diapers so you don't have to wash the pad cover all the time. we don't use them much anymore- but did a LOT when he was an infant and poops were always runny.

and in the drawer of the changing table i keep

    • tylenol/motrin
    • nasal syringe
    • benedryl
    • thermometer
    • teething tablets
    • nail clippers
    • measuring tape (cuz i used to like to see how long he was)
  • We have shelves under our changing table so I have four baskets. Diapers are in one, receiving blankets and burp cloths in another.  Another basket had onesies, pants and socks when they were small (if they leaked through or otherwise dirtied their onesie I didn't want to have to run all over the house for another one).  The fourth basket had the A&D, Aquaphor, butt paste and gauze and vaseline when they were newborns.
