Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Apparently fathers get disoriented, too.

My husband woke me up in the middle of the night last night to explain to me where in the bed the baby should be.  He had cleared the spot in between us (where he usually goes after waking up around 5am) and was really confused why he wasn't there.  Then he looked on the other side of me and was like "where the *** is my baby?!?"  I quickly explained to him that he's in his bassinet where he belongs but it was hilarious.  He normally doesn't even wake up when the baby does.. this time he woke up when the baby didn't.  The funniest part is that he barely remembered doing it this morning and thought I was making part of it up.

  • So funny ~ DH does things like that every once in a while.  One night he got up when DS was crying.  After a few minutes, DS was still crying so I got up to see what was going on.  DH was just staring down at the crib and he sleepily said to me "I just can't figure out the numbers!"  What? Just go back to bed, I'll take care of him.  Turned out, in the morning, he was trying to make the "equation" work (DS feels x so he needs y).  DH is an accountant.... oy!
