I clean my son's straw sippy cups by taking them completely apart every single time and I use the small Dr. Brown's brush to clean all his straws each time also. I'm wondering how often I should switch his "old" sippy cups with new ones though.
?
How often do you change out your DC's sippy cups??
Re: Poll: How often do you change sippy cups?
I have never changed them just because I just make sure to take them apart completely after every used and wash them.

I rinse all of the pieces and soak them overnight then wash in the dishwasher with all of the pieces separated. We've never replaced them.
DS has a penchant for throwing them onto hard surfaces, and has broken quite a few.
Otherwise, I tend to get him new ones every 3 months or so. They get run through the dishwasher after every use.
We use the Nuby flip top straw sippies.

wow- in this day and age of people being green- i'm shocked so many of you replace them so often!!
We have never replaced them... we have a ton of them though... but we take them apart and wash well - the cup goes in the dishwasher and the cap and valve/straws we do by hand.
unless they break I see no reason to get rid of them. Seems like a waste to me - and i'm not a super green person either... i just can't imagine getting rid of something that is cleaned well for no real reason.
ditto Goldie Locks?
I have replaced parts to them, but I haven't thrown any away unless they are broke & no longer work.
