    I love it, but it has to be made with french cut green beans and has to have cheddar cheese.  That's the only way.

    I liked it until I found out that those fried onion things have about 1000 calories.  If I am going to eat 1000 calories, you can bet it is not going to be in green beans.

    Make it with Campbell's Cheddar cheese soup intead and french style green beans!  Yummy.

    Crazy me, I like the taste of veggies, not creamy slimmy stuff.  I'd take steamed green beans over green bean casserole any day.

    Ditto. Although my dad who is a total gourmet/food snob makes a version with fresh green beans, a cream sauce with wild mushrooms and flash fried shallots on top that is pretty good. But the cream of mushroom soup versio-yikes.

    Yuck.  I've never had it but it sounds disgusting.

    Not to be a snob, but I think my grandma/mom/aunt would die before putting that on the table.  They own a catering business and a restaurant.  Enough said, I think.

    I will confess to being a total soup-ist.

    Any dish made with any kind of cream of anything soup out of a can is just nasty. Although my neighbor made us some sort of tater tot/green bean casserole thing with some kind of canned cream soup when Alec was born and it hit the spot.Stick out tongue

    Ya especially since it is made with canned green beans (YUCK) and Mushrooms (double YUCK). ?So yes It is nasty!!

    ew it's CANNED green beans?  That's disgusting.  I can't believe the number of recipes that have condensed soup in them though.  People make like it's a regular ingredient.  It's so weird.
