How to PIP?

I have two pictures for our christmas cards that i can't decide between.  Can someone explain to me how to put a PIP so I can get some opinions?  Thanks.

Start out a post like normal and then above the big empty text box you write your post in there is the B for bold, etc then the smiley face.  Beside the smiley is a little tree.  Click on the tree.  Copy and post your link into the tree.
