Any ideas for fun crafts to do with a toddler for Thanksgiving?

I had an idea to make a turkey out of his hand and then glue leaves on for the feathers, but the leaves aren't sticking well and isn't as cute as I imagined. LOL Any other ideas? TIA

Here is fun but messy one

Tootise Turkey. Paint the bottom of their foot brown toes included. Place it on paper. Once dry glue feathers on the paper around the heel. Place googly eyes by the toes.

They used DD's hands as a turkey on placemats for MDO and it is too cute, what about placemats for Thanksgivng Dinner?

We got some foam stickers at the dollar store and some foam paper. I peal the stickers and DD loves to put them on the foam paper. They had some christmas/thanksgiving ones, though we got fish, since we have a giant tank and DD loves fish. You can also cut out thanksgiving pictures from magazines and put glue on them and let your toddler glue them on a piece of paper like a collage. That was one of the 1st projects DD could mostly do on her own (with a glue stick and a little help) and she really likes to do it. We make welcome back signs for the neighbors when they go out of town using that method.

I am the special-project parent at Ben's school on Tuesday and was really excited to see this post! I wanted to do something Thanksgiving-y, too. I love the placemat idea. You could have him make turkey handprints and do leaf-imprints with crayons. After reading all these great ideas, I think that's what I'll have the kids do at Ben's school.
