christmas gift question?

i know you guys dont know my mom, so im not asking if 'she' will like this.... im just asking opinions

last week i saw a christmas ornanment, just a ball, red or green, that had a screen that would display a slideshow of pics, like a digital frame... small tho, the screen is probably only an inch or two big

it was $50 - ridic

today its on sale for $20 - totally reasonable

so i was thinking of giving it to my mom, full of pics, PLUS a regular present

 

but what about next year? it would get packed away with xmas decor and not pulled out until next year... then it would have year old pics... i would have to take it back and reload it, which is not major, but is that a poopy gift?

I bet she would like it. My MIL asked for a digital photo keychain (which also has about a 1 inch screen) so she can load pictures of our little guy. I think moms like stuff like that.

It sounds cute, I just worry about giving little gadgets. I feel like people lose them or lose interest. But I love the picture frame idea!

it might be worthless entirely

 

i wonder about a regular dig frame... although i *never* use mine

I've been debating getting the new grandparents digital frames. But I would have to load them, and they are way more expensive. Maybe what kelly said and the keychain version? That way she'd always have it, instead of just at christmas.

I was gonna get grandparents a photo keychain. I want one too though, lol. And I wanted to get DH one. I just don't know which one to get without spending too much.?

I think the ornament is a cute idea - I would get it at $20 (maybe not $50).  You could offer to reload it next year, but she might not mind having Avery's first Christmas on there forever.
