My niece has asked for arts & crafts gifts & the family set a $20 limit this year, any ideas of specific things that are out there that she might like (and not already have)?? Thanks so much!
Not sure what prepackaged things are out there but you could always just buy an assortment of things. Package of construction paper, glue, scissors, pipe cleaners etc. Just random things that she can make into projects.
Get her an assortment of things...a couple drawing, painting pads, some cool markers (you know the ones that write crazy, or have blended colors), paint brushes with some water color paints. And I'd get her some of the Crayola black pads with the etching pen (they're black, waxy pads but when you draw on them, you see the background is a rainbow of colors) My DD LOVED those when she was around 7. Clay's also good!
I am usually not a Wal-Mart shopper, but i was in there yesterday and happened to be in the crafty section---there were really cute crafts--they came in white bags and had all the things inside to make the craft. there were all different age limits--jewelry, paper-bag puppets, frames--and they were only about $5 each! you could get 4 of them!! HTH!
I just got 300 stickers and 40 foam "pages" (like 4x6 card, but foam) at the dollar store. They also had glue, construction paper, bead kits, all kinds of different foam things, from molding foam to foam art kits, scissors, tape, glitter, ribbon, paints. And that is just what I remember.
My niece is in 2nd grade and loves that stuff. I am being best aunt ever and getting her an Ipod shuffle, but I gave her a big box of art stuff last year. The teacher supply stores have nicer things. I think I spent about $30 and got her lots of paper, paint, and markers last year.
Good ideas, thanks! Ikea has arts & crafts stuff? I can't seem to find it, what category would it be under (I looked at most of the things under Children's...) Thanks!
There are a bunch of child art kits at Target in that price and age range.? My 2nd grader would like any of them.? She's not really interested in moonsand or playdoh anymore but she loves paints and beading crafts.?

Also, Klutz books are usually about $20 and are kits/instructions on different crafts. They have friendship bracelets, thumbprint art, and a ton more.
