Abdominal/Groin Pain

The other night my pelvis/groin popped (scared the crap out of me) in the middle of the night when I switch positions. I've had pain ever since in the groin and lower abdominal whenever I move from side to side laying down and certain time when I walk around. I called my doctor and she assured me it's normal especially with this one as my first. Did this happen to anyone else? Does tylenol help? Any excercises I can do? I'm still a little freaked out!

Re: Abdominal/Groin Pain

  • Yes, tylenol will help...to me it sounds like your pubic bone is softening and shifting, so the pain wont really go away.  Just make sure you walk, try doing some squats..that sort of thing.  In the long run, all that stuff will help with delivery, too.

  • I haven't heard any "popping" sounds, but I have felt some pain very low down there, the Dr said it's my uterus growing, and totally normal.  I'm sure you're fine if your Dr says it's normal.  You're so tiny that your bones have to pop out to make room!!

  • Thanks ladies! I'm such a worry wart! It sucks cuz I am at work and all I want to do is lay down. Ugh!
