2nd Trimester

I Got Pulled Over This Morning

But I cried my way out of the ticket.  I am pregnant, crying is easy.  My 6th time stopped in the 8 years I've been on the road.  No tickets as of yet!  My husband hates that about me, he has 2 tickets from the 2 times he's been pulled over.  He yelled at me for being a speed demon with his babies in the car.  I said "Fine, next time I'm late to work, you can take them!"

Re: I Got Pulled Over This Morning

  • That has never worked for me but good job!

  • Hahaha, good for you. I KNEW I should have cried when I got pulled over for supposedly doing 35 in a 25... but since I was out of state, I just sucked it up and paid the $147 ticket.
  • Crying never worked for me either.  I have only ever gotten out of one ticket and that was because my FIL was in the FOP and had 41 years of service as a police officer and the cop that pulled me over knew of him.
  • i think girls naturally just get out of tickets easier...its part of our awesomeness :)

    LMFAO!!

  • crying has never gotten me out of a ticket ... nor has my KID crying in the backseat gotten me out of a ticket.

    I'm jealous.

  • yay!  big bellies and tears are good for some things!! :)
  • I've never been able to get out of my own speeding tickets but I got my mom out of one when I was little.  I was under 5 and my sis and I were in the backseat.  She got pulled over and when the cop got to the window I started crying and screaming hysterically that he was going to take my mom to jail and please don't take my mom to jail.  She says the cop laughed and told her to slow down ;)

DH on the other hand has never gotten a ticket when pulled over because the cops where he grew up and where we live now know his dad (the former mayor) so when he was younger they would tell him to slow down and tell his dad hi.

  • Oh, being the son of a former Mayor would definitely be good.  I know a lot of cops, that helps me, plus, I think I have one of those faces where a ton of people think they know me.  And today, the belly and the tears really worked!
  • Lol my brothers and I got my dad out of a ticket once. ?He got pulled over and we were teasing him, before the cop got to the window dad said, "Kids start fighting, ?like really piss me off ok? Don't stop until the cop leaves" ?Naturally we obliged. The cop came to the window, my brothers and I were screaming and yelling and fighting in the back, ?the Cop told us to be quiet he had to speak to my dad, ?we kept fighting, he let my dad off with a warning. ?My dad took us to McDonalds.?

  • LOL, that's hilarious! DH is a cop and he avoids pulling over females at all cost. He can't handle a crying woman! As soon as someone starts crying he lets them go and runs back to his car ASAP...

  • That's a girl after my own heart! I've been pulled over 4 times and never gotten a ticket. I hope it never happens again, but...I know what to say. :-)
  • DH is a cop and thinks it's funny to pull me over. Other than that CHP has pulled me over once but I have no tickets. DH doesn't really do traffic but he usually gives a ticket if you try to make up an excuse or just have an attitude because he likes to be mean. I'm just glad when someone runs my plates the police station info is what's given so I'm safe lol.
