I was and really i only smoked when i drank and never craved one any other time but for some reason today - I just can't get it off my mind.
I say its a risky questions in teh subject becasue i know what some people think about smoking and what their reaction to this may be. But i PROMISE 200% stopped immediately once i found out i was PG.
Still drink like a fish though - J/K
Re: Risky Questions - anyone a former PT smoker before PG?
Ditto!
The Blog
I was a smoker. PT and FT. I even enjoyed it! So, often I think about it, but now I remember that commercial where the placenta shrinks and the baby's coughing and that pretty much snaps me out of it. I think of it as I was a smoker but it was my choice to quit. Everyday is a choice not to smoke and if you congradulate yourself for not smoking that day, week, month and year you'll stop thinking about it less.
I smoked when I was pregnant with my first until my 8th week. That's when I saw the heartbeat and then I stopped.
Eh, I was never a smoker, never had the desire. There's someone on 1st tri who is still smoking (trying to quit maybe?) but I can't remember her name.
I really want a margarita. Baaaad. But I know that I can't have one until little one pops out, so I'm just not going to. I have had 4-5 small glasses of wine throughout my 2nd tri, and they were delicious.
I quit three years ago last month after being a ft smoker for about 15 years. I started to backslide around our wedding (smoking on our honeymoon and then occassionally when we returned). I quit when I found out we were pregnant, as did DH (we quit at the same time, backslid at the same time, though him more often than me).
I have been craving it, but when I smell it on other people or passing people on the street, it's gross.
