nephew update - grrr

Anyone who remembers last week me bitching about my brother, his S/O and the way they raise (I use the term loosely) my nephews.

My nephew did come over this weekend, all kinds of late and without a change of clothes or anything, as I figured. 

Anyway, he was great help for DH and we had dinner which he ate with his hands! Like he was raised by wolves! OK, he used a fork for mashed potatoes, a spoon for broccoli and cut his roast beef, bit half of a piece at a time and held the other bit in his hand. 

I figured he didn't have a toothbrush with him (mind you he had spent the night at a friend's house the night before and didn't have one then either) so I gave him a new one and toothpaste for him to use. When we took him to his soccer game the next day, he hadn't used it.

I was talking to my stepmom, who brought it up with him and she tried to get him to brush his teeth twice a week! He does not brush his teeth at all! And they've never taken him to the dentist. WTF!

I saw the dumb@ss at nephew's soccer game Sunday. It was the frist time in months. He came up and congratulated me on the pregnancy (retreated when my stepmom approached, returned when she walked away b/c she's been calling him on his parenting FAILS). That's it. Then he called me yesterday to ask what shampoo DH uses because my nephew really liked it and they were going to get it for him. Hmmm... get him the perfect shampoo, don't teach him to brush his teeth. I had no words.

I confronted him on a bunch of shit when he was staying here last year and his response was to move out in the middle of the night.
