Daddy Shower

My DH's brother (who is also going to be the Godfather) just called and said that he wanted to throw my DH a surprise "Daddy Shower" the same day as my shower.  I think it's really just an excuse to get all the guys together to play cards and drink, haha, but still I thought it was a really great idea. 

Anyone else doing this?  Or have any ideas that I can pass along to him?

our friends are throwing us a 'Daddy Shower/Diaper Party' the 1st Sunday in Dec. The guys will watch football and have beer and wings. My girlfriend sent out invites asking people to come and the only gift requested was diapers.....any size any brand.

Unfortunately, no one has said anything about giving DH a shower...probably because it is too early for my shower! However, I think it is a great idea! I just might throw one for him myself! My DH has been so supportive and will probably become even more so as my pregnancy continues and I get more whiny. I don't know how far along you are, but I'm sure if all they do is sit around, play poker, and drink beer, a night with the guys when he doesn't have to talk about the baby would be refreshing for him!

I think its a great idea.  I did hear of one guy that had a "daddy shower" at a strip club and they brought him up on stage where there was an actual shower with the dancer.  Yikes!  Not sure about that one, but cards, football, golf, etc.  All good for the dad to be pampered as well.

We're having a Jack & Jill shower. MH was actually disappointed that he couldn't be at the bridal shower. I can't let him down a second time. 

It won't be your traditional shower with all the games and whatnot. It will just be a party to celebrate our impending birth.
