Who's traveling for Christmas?

Just wondering how you plan on handling your children's bigger gifts.  We're planning to get DD a slide for the backyard for instance, but we're obviously not hauling it to Louisiana with us so she can get it Christmas morning, and then hauling it back to Texas!  Are you doing some gifts at home, and some where you'll be Christmas morning?  For the gifts you're doing at home, will you do them before you travel or when you get home?

We always do Christmas Eve and morning here then drive to Cincinnati after that. It's only 3.5 hours away so we are lucky we don't have to travel with dd's gifts. 

I would leave the slide at your house by your tree (or whatever) and then have it left there by Santa and it will be a nice surprise for your dd when you get home.
