Tell me about your diaper bag

So I've looked and looked and looked, but still can't decide on a diaper bag.  Of course there is my dream one, but I'm trying to be a little realistic right now and stick to a budget.  So tell me about yours:

1)  What do you use?

2)  Do you like it?

3)  What don't you like about it?

4)  If you could, would you still have purchased the same one?

5)  Do you and DH share or have your own?

    2. Love it. It has compartments for bottles, it comes with a changing pad (that is light weight and easy to wash in the washing machine), has more compartments for medical records, meds/teething gel, diapers and wipes. For the way that I organize myself, the layout made sense to me. It is also small and can be worn as either a shoulder bag or backpack without being overwhelming.

    3. It isn't as fancy or fashionable but it is super practical (including easy to throw in the wash.. I can't emphasize the niceness of being able to wash your bag).

    4. Yep

    5. At first we had separate ones but after a while, he stopped carrying his because this bag had everything and if you unsnap the purse part, it becomes gender neutral.  I've got the red one.

  • I just got the skip hop diaper bag at my shower yesterday. Its the black messanger bag style. It doesn't look like a diaper bag, and its not girly, DH says he will use it too.

I don't know much about it other then it was recommended here so i registered for it.

  • 1)  What do you use?  Petunia Picklebottom Boxy Backpack

    2)  Do you like it? I love it!

    3)  What don't you like about it?  N/A

    4)  If you could, would you still have purchased the same one?  Absolutely...actually, I wished that I had invested in this one from the get go.

    5)  Do you and DH share or have your own? Dh uses ours. He has no problems taking our "pink" diaper bag around with him, as long as Jack is clearly visible. HAHAHA!!!

    2) Yes :)

    3) originally I thought I was going to use it as my primary purse... and I did, while I was out on maternity leave... then, when I went back to work I realized that between carrying my pump bag, the cooler for the milk, my lunch carrying the diaper bag was unnecessary and cumbersome... so, I just swap my wallet, phone and keys over to the diaper bag for the weekends and use a small purse for during the week.

    4) Yes, I'd get it again. I get a ton of compliments on it, even when I'm out without the baby (compliments on it as a purse)... I got the 'glazed' version which I love because when J spits up on it or when milk gets shot on it (yes, this has happened!) it's easy to wipe off.

    5) No. We have a skip hop pronto changer (aka the best invention EVER!) and we put that in the bottom of the stroller. Should I not have anything in the main diaper bag, the skip hop pronto saves the day... Also it was great on the plane :)

  • 1)  What do you use? I just got a new one off etsy.com the other week.

    2)  Do you like it? yes I love it. I told the girl how I wanted it, Zipper closure, and messanger style strap.

    3)  What don't you like about it? No Complaints on the new one. The old one I had was magnet closed and I did not like that.

    4)  If you could, would you still have purchased the same one? yes.

    5)  Do you and DH share or have your own? not anymore... the new one is girlyish.

  • We used the Lands End Do It All diaper bag at first, now we have a small one from Carters.

I did like it, it has lots of room, pockets and came with a changing pad.

It was a messenger style and, while it was great to hang on the stroller, it was kind of a pain to carry on your shoulder.

This time around we are getting a back pack diaper bag.

    We shared.

    2. Love it, good for 2 kids.

    3. In the front lower pocket the interior pockets are too small to be useful to me.

    4.For sure.

    5. He has no problem carrying it for me from time to time.

    2) Yes--it's been really great.

    3) Right now I just don't like lugging it around anymore. I miss my purses. ;)

    4) Yes--I wish I had bought it sooner than I did though. ;)

    5) Sometimes we share (it's a neutral black & green), otherwise if he takes one of the boys on his own, he has a Diaper Dude.
