let me put it to you this way.....if one of us has a child with a hideous physical deformity that is greatly disturbing & we post a sig of that child...would you make that mom take it down and say its too disturbing therefore too inappropriate?
Cut this poor girl some slack.

I'M GRAPE JELLY- ALWAYS AROUND & ALWAYS THE SAME
If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me. For I must be traveling on now. Because there are too many places I've got to see. -Allen Collins & Ronnie VanZant

I haven't said a thing to the girl. I just agreed with the majority on this one. It may not seem like the most sensitive opinion, but I feel the pic is inappropriate. She has the right to put whatever she wants, but surely she knew that it would be offensive to some.
And, IMO, a physical deformity is much different than a no longer-living fetus.
hhhmmmm I find it interesting that the only ones who find it disturbing are the ones who are NOT on the pg loss board.
lets just agree that we disagree!

So I'm jumping in on this late because I had to think about it for some time.
The difference between posting a pic of a child and this particular picture has one significant difference that in itself makes it disturbing: the fetus is dead. Its no more or less disturbing that if she had posted a picture of a dead pet or other dead relative. In our culture that is highly inappropriate. If she wanted the picture for her own memory and her own healing, so be it, but posting a picture for public to see of something dead dressed up to appear living is disturbing. And it will draw a reaction, as it has here.
I'm not saying that I don't feel for this woman because I do. I can't imagine the loss she's endured, and I know she is grieving. We all grieve in our own way, but this is taking it too far.
Re: krisbri...I KNOW you're not implying

And should we not have pics of our kids when there are so many couples going through infertility or even secondary infertility?
it sucks all around. It sucks for the people upset by it, it sucks for her... it just sucks to have a kid die regardless of term.
