I'd call them to check. I had to return a highchair to them because when I opened it, it had been used. How SICK is that? There was food and nastyshit all over it. I didn't have a reciept either. I exchanged it for the same thing just a different pattern. I would call to check so you don't waste your time going there and they don't do that anymore.
They just changed their returns and you must have a recepit, the c.card you paid with or the print out of the registry it was on. They can look it up by the c/card. The return must be with in 90 days from sale. I doubt they would take a car seat back if it was a year old even if it was in the box. The car seats change over the years they get new covers on them.
Nope; you have to have the receipt. I tried to return an duplicate toy last Christmas and was flat denied. I try my best to not shop there and only buy items I can't find anywhere else, or emergency store trips.
If they won't take it back and it's still new in the box, would you try to sell it on Craigslist or eBay?
FWIW, my BRU/TRU suck about returns. We recieved a toy that was broken. I had the reciept and they STILL wouldn't take it back. I was absoultely livid.
Re: Does BRU accept returns w/o receipt?
I believe that as of November 1st, all returns must be accompanied by a gift or regular receipt.
I think you may be out of luck, especially if the seat is that old. They do come out with new models/colors pretty often.
